I am a photographer of split personalities – I cannot choose between my love of the theatre or my love of love – so I photograph both!
As a theatre and circus photographer, I cannot get enough of the live action. I adore becoming a temporary member of the company, whether that’s for one day or all the way from rehearsals up to production shots.
Being chosen to be a wedding photographer, is one of the biggest compliments you can give me. When a couple chooses me to capture their day I understand the responsibility that comes with.
I am a photographer who specialises in the capturing of theatre & circus, rehearsal and backstage images. I've worked in many varying styles over the years but the challenge of capturing such a fleeting moment of raw emotion on stage grabbed my attention and I haven’t looked back. Theatre’s constantly changing nature means that there are always new moments to be captivated by and I intend to be there to photograph them.
Companies that I have worked with include The Young Vic, National Student Drama Festival, Ugly Bucket Theatre and Ilkley Playhouse. Circus commissions include Circus Fantasia, Chipperfield’s Circus, Tequila Circus and The Hippodrome, Great Yarmouth.

What’s been my favourite shoot to date?
The Second Woman at the Young Vic. Hands down.
A 24-hour epic show, staring Ruth Wilson who was on stage the entire time and got a 9-minute standing ovation at the end.
What’s the best part of a wedding shoot?
It’s got to be the couple shoot. The couple get time to be (almost) alone. The big moments have happened, everyone can relax and the love really shines through.
What’s the strangest thing I’ve photographed?
During Covid, I was the photographer for the National Student Drama Festival, which was completely remote that year. So in my capacity of “photographer” I screenshotted the shows instead!
What goes unnoticed at a wedding?
To me? Nothing!
One of the best parts of photographing a wedding is walking around and making sure that every detail you’ve thought about is recorded with as much love as you’ve put into creating it.
Show or rehearsal – which would you choose?
That is a tricky one, but I think I’m going to go rehearsal. You get to know the cast so much better and really feel part of the company.
